Is it just me or does anyone else feel older during the "odd" years of their life? When I turned 25 I felt so old. But when the next year came around, telling people that I was 26 didn't sound so bad. But now that another year has rolled around and I've reached the lovely age of 27, it feels and sounds old again! Even still...I had a wonderful birthday this year. Clint took me to my favorite restaurant the night before...Tepanyaki. Just writing about it makes me want to go there again. When I got home from work on my birthday he had me open some presents. He got me a new portable DVD player and the movie Sword in the Stone. (I love that movie!) Then we drove to my parents house because my mom had a gift she wanted to give me. And coincidentally, lots of my friends were at my parents house when we got there. Clint had planned a surprise BBQ for me. And since my birthday is so close to the holiday (July 2nd) we had a fun little firework show as well. It was very sweet. I am so lucky to be married to a guy who does anything and everything to make me happy. Here are some pictures from the day:

I need a "Blogging for Dummies" book!
So thanks to Briana's brilliance I have finally been able to post my wedding pictures as a slideshow on our sidebar. I've literally spent HOURS trying to get something posted but have failed miserably. Briana took the time to email very detailed instructions for me and ....voi lah! Next thing I know, the slideshow is functioning! Yea!
Fitness Update
So Clint and I have had a little bet going with my mom and dad. It started as a way motivate each other to be more healthy. Clint, my mom, and my dad both wanted to lose some weight and I wanted to start running consistently. So the goal is this:
GOAL:
Clint - must lose 26 pounds by September 1st
David - must lose 15 pounds by September 1st
Mom - must lose 10 pounds by September 1st
Emily - must run a 5k by September 1st
Ultimately we plan to go to a baseball game in Arizona but the person who does not reach their goal must pay for everyone else's way.
WHERE ARE WE NOW???
I have been running 2 miles each time I get on the treadmill. Although I still don't feel that I am quite ready to run a 5k, I am running one on August 16th in West Jordan.
Clint began the bet weighing 211. He has been running and has been on a very very STRICT South Beach Diet. As of last night he weighed 186.8. Amazing!
We're almost there!!!

July 4th Weekend
Every year, Clint's Aunt Ruth and Uncle Leroy invite us up to their cabin near Kamas for their 4th of July family get together. And every year, something comes up that keeps us from going up there...until now!
Clint and I made the long drive up to the cabin and had such a wonderful time. The cabin is in a little dude ranch area and there is a little cafe (takes cash only unfortunately) and some rivers and streams and horses to ride. And let's not forget to mention that Ruth's cabin is hardly "roughing it." The cabin has a washer, dryer, microwave, fridge, TV...the works.
Here are a few pictures from our trip. And thanks to Ruth and Leroy's genorosity, we plan to go up again sometime soon!
