I'm a Fan!

So my new quote for the month of May is from Picasso. For those of you who don't know, I studied Art History in college. Now what can you do with a degree in Humanities (emphasis in Art History) and a minor in Music??? Not much!

People find it puzzling that I would end up in Human Resources/Accounting after studying art for four years. I don't know how it happened either, but I will say that those four years of college were awesome! I have such a deep appreciation and love for art now.

The first day that I met Clint, we were hanging out at the clubhouse of our apartment complex. And they had a huge print of one of my favorite artists on the wall. In the Mountains by Albert Beirstadt (left). So I was explaining the Hudson River School and the artists and how this art piece represented transcendentalism...I was so proud that I remembered it all. And the best part was that Clint was actually interested!

Later on he admitted that he didn't know what the heck I was talking about but just pretended to be interested so it wouldn't hurt my feelings. Oh well. I still like art...even if I bore everyone else to tears with it.
