Tagged by Missy Part 2!

I forgot the most important part of this game! You have to tag 5 people. I'm not sure even 5 people read this blog but if you do...Briana, Carson, Becca, Kari, Heather, Marie, Amy, Natalie...TAG YOUR IT!

Tagged by Missy

OK. So I was tagged in a fun little game by my high school friend Missy. The rules are that you have to take pictures of the following items/rooms in your house...but you have to take the pictures of the items/rooms as is...no cleaning up first. Now, I am a little lucky because Saturday is my weekly "clean the house, weed the yard" day so my rooms are a little more tidy than normal. But I didn't cheat. The rooms are "as is."

THE LAUNDRY ROOM: (As much as Saturday is my cleaning day...I never seem to get all the way through the laundry!

THE CLOSET (view 1): Yep. Clint gets the tiniest little corner of this closet...poor schmuk!

THE CLOSET (view 2)

THE TOILET: OK OK. I may have cheated a little on this one. This was the cleanest of the three bathrooms so I chose to take a picture of this toilet. :)

THE KIDS: This is Molly. She is 3 1/2. I woke her up at 1:00 am to take this picture. She doesn't look too happy.

THE KIDS: This is Tess. She is 2 1/2. She also looks very tired since I dragged her out of her bed in the wee hours of the morning for the sake of this fun game!

THE FRIDGE: Yes. I do drink soy milk. I have actually started to like drinking it. But it did take me a while to get used to it.

THE SINK: Those dishes on the right side are actually clean. I had to handwash them and was too lazy to dry them and put them away. They usually stay there until I need to use them again.

FAVORITE SHOES: I really couldn't decide which pair were my favorite. I do like these two pairs A LOT!

But I also really really like all of these pairs too! Generally I follow one rule with shoes: If Clint thinks they are hideous, then I know I've got a good pair!

FAVORITE ROOM: I love my guest room! Mostly because the bed is sooooo incredibly comfortable! And also because most of the things my older sister Misty made me I have (unconsciously) put in this room. i.e the black chair and pillow in the left corner, the little blue wood painting on the wall next to the headboard. (It says "choose for eternity")

Tess is a Girley Girl!

Not too long ago, our little Tess got sick. I'll spare everyone the not-so-fun details and just say that I finally resorted to giving her some Pepto Bismol to make her feel better. Now Tess normally will eat anything you put in front of her: My food, her food, plastic water bottles, Molly's poop (maybe that's why she was sick) but for some I cannot get her to swallow Pepto Bismol. So, being the clever girl that I am and knowing that Tess is pretty dumb, I rolled some little dog treats in pepto bismol and put them in her dog dish.
It took her a little time but she wanted the treats bad enough to choke the whole pink concoction down. And when she looked at me afterward I couldn't help but laugh! It's hard to see in this picture but she had the most beautiful pepto-pink lipstick on her bottom lip. She's such a lady!

Summer Time = Yard Work

I look forward to the spring and summer seasons every year because I love flowers. As a fairly new home owner, it has been sort of fun to plant flowers and make the yard my own. I say 'my' own because Clint doesn't share my same passion for yard work. Nevertheless, he helps me dig holes and plant flowers and pull weeds and mow the lawn. He's so great!

Our neighbors across the street have an immaculate yard. I am green with envy every time I see their beautiful thick, weedless lawn. It is such a nice yard to look at. So this year I decided I was going to try to keep up with them and give our yard a little "umph!"

I decided that I wanted one edge of our grass to be scalloped. I thought it would be a pretty simple job and that I could do it on my own but Clint came out and helped me anyway. And it's a good thing he did! It took us more than 5 hours! But it sure looks good!

A view of this part of the front lawn 1 month ago and today:

I even attempted to make some planters for the backyard. Wasn't a great first try but the backyard needed something!

Hopefully next year I will be an even more polished green thumb!
