A Seth Update

Clint and I are plugging along as usual. We are still adapting to "life as a family" where there is no such thing as sleeping in and life revolves around our little bug, Seth. He is changing so much. I was looking through the photo album I have put together for him and it really seems like yesterday that we were holding this tiny little baby in our arms. Now he is cruising around the house and starting to communicate. It's amazing to see how much he has changed...and how much Clint and I have changed too. Here is a little summary of what Seth is up to at 9 months old:

  • He smiles at all the girls that he meets. (He is definitely a little flirt.) But he just stares suspiciously at men.

  • He crawls all over the house and is now very confidently cruising across furniture.

  • He stands on his own for a few seconds when he is very focused on a toy but when he realizes that he isn't holding on to anything he loses his balance and falls over.

  • He loves to bite his mommy...especially when she isn't paying attention to him.

  • Speaking of biting...he has two bottom teeth and I think his two upper front teeth are going to break through very soon.

  • He rarely uses a binky. (Yay!)

  • He is starting to mimick you when you wave good bye to him. Except that he waves his hand at himself rather than at you.

  • He screams and arches his whole body when you take a toy away from him.

  • He has been sleeping 10 hours at night since January. Love that!

  • He still takes 2 naps during the day.

  • He loves to throw everything: food, toys, clothes...I think he just likes to see what happens to it when it lands. (He recently threw my cell phone in the bath tub.)

  • He is definitely a "momma's boy" and always wants me to hold him.

  • He is obsessed with flushing the toilet and unraveling toilet paper from the roll.

  • He gets in very lovey-dovey moods and will give constant open-mouthed wet slobbery kisses during this time.

  • He likes to growl at people.

He seems to be learning something new every day. And while he is hard work, we just love him to pieces!
